COL Michał MAŁYSKA
Chief of Staff of LITPOLUKRBRIG
COL Michał MAŁYSKA was born in 1972 in Lublin. He graduated from General Tadeusz Kosciuszko Military Academy of Land Forces in Wroclaw in 1997. Afterwards he served in the 3rd Mechanized Brigade named after Romuald Traugutt in Lublin, where he climbed up multiple career positions. Then he studied and completed his studies at the National Defense Academy in Warsaw. Next year, in 2007 he also completed postgraduate studies there.
From 2008 he served in the 3rd Mechanized Battalion in Zamość. After that, from 2008 to 2009 he was deployed as part of KFOR Multinational Task Force – East within US Brigade. The period of 2012 to 2014 marked the time of service in the Land Forces Command in the Land Forces Development Planning Division G-5 in the Branch of Allied Commitments Planning. In 2013 he completed a qualification course for the commanding level with the rank of LTC in National Defense Academy in Warsaw.
He served in the General Command of the Polish Armed Forces in the Development Planning Division J-5 in the Branch of Allied Commitments Planning and International Initiatives from 2014 to 2015. Moreover, he held the post of the Secretary of the Team assigned on the basis of the MoD decision for the creation of the Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian brigade in Lublin. In 2014 he completed the “NATO Staff Officer Defence Planning Course” in the NATO School in Oberammergau, Germany.
On the 19th October 2015 he was appointed the Deputy Chief of Staff in the LITPOLUKRBRIG COMMAND. At the same time, following the Directive of the Chief of General Staff of PAF he was assigned the function of Senior National Officer for the Polish soldiers serving in LITPOLUKRBRIG. Moreover, he is the secretary of the Multinational Coordination Group for LITPOUKRBRIG.
In 2017-2018 COL Małyska graduated the NATO Defence College in Rome, Italy.
On the 21st of September 2018 he was promoted to Colonel rank and assumed position of the Chief of Staff of The Grand Hetman Kostiantyn Ostrogski Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian Brigade LITPOLUKRBRIG.
