Polish Independence Day
Distantly together - LITPOLUKRBRIG officers commemorate the Polish Independence Day. Polish Independence Day is a national holiday celebrated on November 11, to commemorate the anniversary of the restoration of Poland’s sovereignty as the Second Polish Republic in 1918, after 123 years of partition.

LITPOLUKRBRIG officers celebrate the national holidays of each country with respect, honor, and follows the tradition of sharing important moments with friends and partners. Usually, Polish Independence Day is both a joyous and solemn moment of the year uniting Poles with their international friends in a common celebration.
Due to the pandemic situation in the world, all celebrations and honoring days had been transformed. In 2020 we created different ways of celebrating: separately, distantly but spiritually -   together.

On November 10, 2020, the VTC lecture on the history connected with Polish Independence Day was organized.
Colonel Dmytro Bratishko, LITPOLUKRBRIG Commander,  addressed the audience gathered next to the computers, reminding the importance of the restoration of Polish Independence and congratulated all Poles on the holiday.
Additionally, he underlined:  "There is a very difficult time now, however, I believe that together we can achieve the common success and overcome these difficulties – being always united for peace".

On November 11, 2020, the Polish Senior Representative along with Lithuanian and Ukrainian delegation laid flowers and lighted the candle at the monuments of the Unknown Soldier and Marshal Józef Piłsudski at the Lithuanian Square in the Lublin center to commemorate this important for Poles celebration.
