MAIN PLANNING CONFERENCE TO MAPLE ARCH 2019 EXERCISE
10.05.2019

The Main Planning Conference to MAPLE ARCH 2019 Exercise was conducted in LITPOLUKRBRIG COMMAND, in Lublin between 06 – 10 May, 2019. The Exercise MAPLE ARCH has been in existence since 1999. Each year Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine and Georgia under Canadian mentorship, take turns hosting the training event in their respective states. This year’s host country is Ukraine.

MAPLE ARCH Exercise is an annual training event that aims at fostering international military relations through the conduct of a multinational exercise.

This year the Exercise is held at the Air Assault Command Armed Forces of Ukraine, in Zhytomyr. It is an 11-day multinational army exercise conducted with the participation of seven nations (Canada, Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine, Georgia, Montenegro and the Republic of North Macedonia). About 250 military members are expected to take part in the training.

The MAPLE ARCH 2019 Exercise takes the form of a computer-based Command Post Exercise. LITPOLUKRBRIG plays the HICON role and battalions’ headquarters staff trains to command and control of subordinate units in simulated-realistic operations, such as peace support operations, humanitarian assistance and crisis response.

The LITPOLUKRBRIG COMMAND participates in the MAPLE ARCH series of exercises in order to maintain its operational readiness, sustain its capabilities and to show its integration in the overall process of peacekeeping and building the military cooperation with NATO partners.

UNITED FOR PEACE!
