Lithuanian officers accept wishes from Polish and Ukrainian colleagues from LITPOLUKRBRIG Command
Lithuanian Armed Forces Day

Polish and Ukrainian personnel of the Grand Hetman Kostiantyn Ostrogski Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian Brigade Command from Lublin congratulated their Lithuanian colleagues on their professional holiday – the Lithuanian Armed Forces Day, celebrated on 23 November 2017.

In the early morning, a ceremonial assembly the Multinational Brigade premises was held, during which Polish and Ukrainian fellow soldiers wished the Lithuanians courage and strength in their dedicated service to preserve peace. Also, among the wishes addressed to the Lithuanian soldiers were good health, prosperity for their country and unity for the three LITPOLUKRBRIG establishing nations.

LITPOLUKRBRIG Commander Colonel Zenon Brzuszko and Deputy Colonel Volodymyr Yudanov, on the occasion of this festive day expressed their gratitude for the high level of professionalism, courage and perseverance which the Lithuanian officers have shown in multiple joint training activities. Led by Lieutenant Colonel Eligijus Senulis, the Lithuanian soldiers are good ambassadors of their country, they demonstrate that military cooperation can harden the bonds aimed at further tri-lateral developments in the defense area.

After the official ceremony, Major Kostas Petrovas held a lesson on the history of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the evolvement of its forces.

Besides, LITPOLUKRBRIG Command flag detail took part in the military parade in Vilnius in the head of the affiliated units formations.

Moreover, it should be stressed that the Lithuanian personnel of the Grand Hetman Kostiantyn Ostrogski Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian Brigade is comprised of 5 staff officers to the Command itself and an affiliated Grand Duchess Birutė Uhlan Battalion. Since the creation of the Brigade in 2016, the staff officers and the affiliated Battalion HQ have participated in the wide spectrum of activities from international trainings to cultural events and have become an integral part of the LITPOLUKRBRIG family.
